Pickling vinegar is a type of vinegar that is specifically formulated for pickling fruits and vegetables. It is usually stronger and more acidic than regular vinegar, which helps to preserve the pickled items and give them a tangy flavor. Pickling vinegar may also contain additional ingredients such as salt and spices to enhance the pickling process and flavor. It is commonly used in recipes for making pickles, chutneys, and other preserved foods. **

Herrings need to be soaked before pickling to remove excess salt and to reduce their strong fishy flavor. Soaking the herrings in water helps to rehydrate them and make them more pliable for pickling. This process also helps to improve the texture of the herrings and allows them to better absorb the flavors of the pickling solution. Overall, soaking the herrings before pickling helps to create a more balanced and flavorful end product. **

One good recipe for pickling green tomatoes is to start by slicing the tomatoes and placing them in a large jar. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and pickling spices, and bring to a boil. Pour the hot liquid over the tomatoes in the jar, making sure they are completely covered. Seal the jar and let it sit at room temperature for a few days before transferring to the refrigerator. This will allow the flavors to develop and the tomatoes to pickle. Enjoy your tangy and delicious pickled green tomatoes! **

However, it is important to note that peeing in the water can introduce bacteria and contaminants, affecting the water quality and potentially posing health risks to other swimmers. It is always best to use the restroom facilities provided. **
